Participation terms of the AIM Academy
Supplement to the general terms and conditions of Secure 2 Fiber GmbH for training between businesses (B2B)
Version 1.0, as of 12 October 2026
The provider is Secure 2 Fiber GmbH, Am Brambusch 24, 44536 Lünen, Germany (hereinafter "s2f"). Register court, representation and VAT ID are stated in the terms and conditions and in the imprint.
§ 1 Scope
These participation terms apply to all courses, live sessions, exams and certificates of the AIM Academy on s2f.site (hereinafter "courses").
In addition, the general terms and conditions of s2f apply in their current version. Where these participation terms provide otherwise, they take precedence for courses.
The AIM Academy is aimed exclusively at businesses within the meaning of § 14 of the German Civil Code (BGB). Consumers within the meaning of § 13 BGB cannot book courses. There is no consumer right of withdrawal.
The contractual partner of s2f is the company to which the portal account of the ordering person belongs (hereinafter "partner"). The ordering person acts on behalf of this company. The participant is the person whose portal account is activated.
§ 2 Access and portal account
Courses are used via a personal portal account on s2f.site. s2f creates the account at the request of the partner. It belongs to exactly one person.
Login details must not be passed on. An account must not be used by several people. If s2f requires a second login factor, the participant sets it up.
The partner informs s2f without delay when a participant leaves the company. s2f may then block the account or end the participation in individual courses.
s2f may block an account or end a participation if login details are passed on, content is used contrary to § 8 or an exam was passed by deception. In this case there is no claim to a refund.
§ 3 Courses included in the partner level
Which courses are activated without separate charge depends on the partner level of the partner in the AIM partner programme. s2f determines the level according to the rules of the partner programme.
s2f activates the courses included in the level for every person with an active portal account at the partner. This also applies to accounts created later and to a higher level.
If s2f lowers the level or the partnership ends, courses already activated remain available for the time being, including learning progress. s2f may end access to courses that were only activated through the former level with four weeks' notice in text form. Certificates obtained and purchased courses (§ 5) are not affected. There is no claim to the activation of further courses of the former level.
The course "AIMdefense Essentials" is public and accessible without an account. s2f activates individual courses for end customers only in individual cases. These terms apply to them accordingly.
§ 4 Purchase of further courses
Courses that are not included in the level of the partner and that s2f offers for sale in the portal can be bought there by every participant of a partner. Companies without a partner level cannot buy partner courses. Live sessions are only included in the partner level and cannot be bought individually.
The price is EUR 69.95 net per person and course, one-time. It includes the exam and the certificate where the course ends with an exam. The price shown in the portal at the time of purchase applies.
Statutory VAT is added to the price where applicable. For partners established in another EU member state with a valid, confirmed VAT ID, the partner owes the tax itself (reverse charge). For partners established outside the EU, the service is not taxable in Germany. If the VAT ID of an EU partner is missing or not confirmed, s2f charges German VAT. The invoice is decisive.
The purchase is made on account. By submitting the order in the portal, the ordering person makes a binding offer on behalf of the partner. s2f accepts it by activating the course and sending the order confirmation. This happens immediately after the order, the course is available at once. The invoice is addressed to the partner and sent by email to its billing address. The partner pays by bank transfer to the account stated on the invoice. Under § 4 of the terms and conditions the invoice is due immediately upon receipt without deduction, unless the invoice states a different payment term.
s2f may limit the number of open course invoices per partner. Once the limit is reached, a further purchase is only possible after payment or by arrangement with s2f. If the partner is in default of payment, s2f may refuse further purchases and block access to unpaid courses until payment.
A purchased course is valid only for the person who ordered it. It cannot be transferred to other persons, not even within the partner.
A person cannot buy a course they already have access to or that is included in the level of the partner.
§ 5 Change of the partner level
Purchased courses are not refunded if the partner level changes later. This also applies if the course is included in the new level after an upgrade. There is no credit note.
A purchased course remains available after a downgrade.
§ 6 Scope of services, access period and availability
Courses are self-study courses in the portal. Live sessions take place on the dates s2f announces in good time. The content results from the course description on the course page at the time of purchase or activation.
s2f may update, rearrange and extend content, for example for a new product release. Learning progress is kept where possible. There is no claim to a particular state of the content.
Access to a purchased course applies as long as s2f offers the course, but for at least 24 months from activation. The service is deemed rendered upon activation.
s2f strives for high availability of the portal. Maintenance, disruptions and events beyond the control of s2f may temporarily restrict access. There is no claim to uninterrupted availability.
The participant carries out exercises in the partner's own environment, for partners on their NFR licence. The partner is responsible for exercises in production environments. s2f recommends creating a snapshot or backup before every exercise.
§ 7 Exam and certificate
Courses with an exam end with an online exam. For each exam the participant has three attempts. After three failed attempts the participant may ask s2f for further attempts. s2f decides on this case by case.
Whoever passes the exam receives a certificate with a serial number. The certificate is valid for 24 months. After that it expires. s2f points this out in good time before expiry. A certificate is renewed by passing the exam valid at that time again.
The certificate is a personal qualification and stays with the person even if they leave the partner.
Only valid certificates count for the partner level. Which certificates a level requires is governed by the partner programme.
s2f keeps a certificate register. Third parties can have the authenticity of a certificate checked by s2f using its number.
s2f may revoke a certificate if it was obtained by deception or if information about the person was incorrect.
§ 8 Rights of use
All course content, exam questions, texts, images, videos and documents are protected by copyright. The rights belong to s2f or the respective rights holders.
The participant receives a simple, non-transferable right to use the content for their own professional training within the scope of their work for the partner.
In particular, it is not permitted to pass on, publish or record content or to use it for one's own training of third parties. Documents that s2f expressly releases for download or distribution are excepted.
Exam questions are confidential. They may neither be collected nor passed on.
§ 9 of the terms and conditions applies to trademarks and signs.
§ 9 Liability
s2f prepares the courses with care. They serve training purposes and replace neither the product documentation nor advice in individual cases.
For damage arising during exercises or when applying course content in environments of the partner or its customers, s2f is liable only in accordance with § 11 of the terms and conditions.
In all other respects, the liability provisions in § 11 of the terms and conditions apply.
§ 10 Data protection
For the Academy, s2f processes the name, email address, company, learning progress, exam results and certificates of the participants, and for purchases also the billing data of the partner.
The partner sees neither the learning progress nor the exam results of its participants in the portal. Because the partner level depends on valid certificates, s2f tells the partner on request which of its participants hold a valid certificate (name, certificate, number, validity).
Details are given in the privacy policy, section IX no. 3 "AIM Academy".
§ 11 Amendments and final provisions
§ 13 of the terms and conditions applies accordingly to amendments of these participation terms.
The provisions of the terms and conditions apply to the applicable law, place of jurisdiction and severability.
